I’m not one to typically experiment with makeup because a. it’s expensive and b. it’s expensive. #justsaying But in all seriousness, constantly buying an abundance of cosmetics can be PRICEY, amiright?! That’s why I typically stick with my tried and true faves, most of which I’ve been using for years. I was feeling jazzy and decided to pick up a couple new products, and guys, I’m so glad I did! I’ve repeated this look for the past 5 days straight and I’m happy to report I’m absolutely loving it!
Who doesn’t adore all the colors that come with Fall, and this year I’m crushing hardest on deep shades of mauve and eggplant. So when I popped into Target the other day, those were the hues I was on the hunt for! I’ve had really good luck with Maybelline products in the past, and this mini cosmetic haul was no exception! I found the ‘City Mini Eyeshadow Palette’ (color: Chill Brunch Neutrals) and pretty much fell in love with the entire selection of shades. Then the hunt was on for a blush to compliment the shadow, and I came accross the ‘FitMe’ blush in Nude. Y’all. This combo is bomb. Pretty sure they’re meant to be… like PB&J, Kim & Kanye… ya feel me?
This look wears really well, and I had no issues with it lasting all day. My personal “pro tip”? Wear lip liner in lieu of lipstick. It lasts SO much longer and I prefer the matte look over what you typically get with a true lipstick. (If you try this little hack, just be sure to moisturize your lips a little before application, and once you remove your makeup, because it does tend to dry your lips out!)
Suffice it to say, I’ve found my fall face and mama’s feeling GLAM! Already looking forward to experimenting with different shades for a winter look, and you know I’ll be back with all the deets when the time comes!
